Mar 3, 2013 - Lets go Racing Boys
Ah the sounds of V8s. smell of burnt rubber and the pfft of a Budweiser opening. Off to the track on Thu for set up and re-uniting with old race friends. To our dismay our favorite BBQ rib people didn't show so we settled for shrimp steaks and homemade ice cream. Weather was perfect for racing. Sep 2, 2012 - Day 131, Home
Day 131, Sunday, September 02, 2012 We loaded up a day bed on top of our bed to bring home for Rob’s sister and left Tucson. Brody and I entertained each other watching for big red trucks on the way home. We pulled up to the house and opened the door of the bus and were hit by a furnace blast of hot air. We unloaded everything and Rob washed the bus...

Mar 31, 2012 - Avondale, AZ
12th Good Sam Rally, Phoenix International Raceway! We arrived about 8:30 AM on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the racetrack. We had no problem getting in, but oh were we packed tight and discovered how "not ready" this group was for us. Had we not gone last year to Redmond, OR to this Rally we would never had known the difference, but we did and we didn't like this first day's experience. The raceway dictated how things had to be done and we can assure you that we will not be coming to any Nascar race here. We did pay for electric hookup...

Luckily, however, at least in New Mexico, man-made structures on the otherwise desolate highway make it interesting. And they come in many varieties. First there are the official signs. This flat plain in New Mexico was pretty desolate, and the open areas allowed the wind to build up to a mighty power. Luckily today that wasn’t the case, but New Mexico sure was trying to scare us...
