We saw what we could of Humphreys Peak - the highest point in Arizona at 12,633 ft. Half of it was buried in the clouds as we made a westerly turn onto I-40 in Flagstaff, AZ. We stopped early today and drove around Seligman. The town is known as the beginning of "historical" Route 66. The center of town has become a tourist mecca. Shops are full of Route 66 memorabilia. Restored cars of the era and manikins dressed in period garb occupied the streets and parking lots. We awoke to rain the next morning - a lot of it - for the second day in...
