After dinner last night we decided to watch a DVD. Since the DVD player and TV have never been used since we bought the rig, we had to get out the instruction manuals to figure out how to set the units up. A half our later, we watched the first two episodes of season one of Northern Exposure. The microwave oven was also used for the first time to make a bag of popcorn. Jul 23, 2006 - Wasila / Montana Creek
Retracing our steps up thru Anchorage we got off Hwy 1 to Hwy 3 and stopped in Wasila to see the Iditarod Headquarters. The video, trophies, photos and displays were very interesting. The best part was seeing the dogs pull a cart ride. Most of these dogs have actually been in the Iditarod race. We got to speek to the owners about the dogs and the race. Puppies were so cute. Around 6:00pm we got our first view of Mt McKinley it was amazing, first day in awhile that was clear. Settled for the night at Montana creek campground. Nice facilities...Jump to full entry
