Settling in… After the somewhat rough start to our week-long “get re-acquainted with Mo, shake-down camping trip”, things improved greatly as the days went by! Steve was able to figure out how the cable worked and we watched a little (with emphasis on little) network TV. He also figured out how to make the Furrion video and sound system play in color instead of black and white. 2016 Life in our RV

Sep 13, 2016 - Hello Mo!

Life happens. Steve and I had so many plans for retirement when we purchased Mo last March. (If you want to know more about those plans, go to my homepage and read the blog post called "In the Beginning"). But somehow, life and work got in the way. So after we brought Mo home to Birmingham from Hammond, LA, we found out that she had a bent axle - probably happened during delivery from Elkhart, Indiana to Hammond. So before we had a chance to camp in her, she went on an extended trip to Decatur, AL to have her axle replaced and a new tire...

2016 Life in our RV

Apr 29, 2016 - Camping!

It turned out to be a long day of traveling and then I found out I am in Central Time so I have an extra hour! I used it getting lost finding my site (big area) and then trying in vain to get the motorhome level in the spot given to me. I had to call and request a spot 2 spaces over. Turns out that site is even better in that the picnic table and fire pit are down near the water. As of now, I plan on staying at the campsite all day tomorrow, reading and maybe kayaking on the lake. We shall see. Sunday is another big driving day.
