Mar 25, 2017 - Settling in at Meaher State Park

Settling in on Mobile Bay Meaher State Park is one of the smaller Alabama state parks situated on the northeastern edge of Mobile Bay. There are about 60 numbered campsites along with space for group gatherings, tent camping and a couple cabins. There is a double boat launch and a fishing pier. It is situated about 5 miles from the small towns of Spanish Fort, Daphne and Fairhope to the East, and Mobile to the West. It sits right on Hwy 98 and just across the tip of the bay from I-10. Mar 22, 2017 - Busy busy busy

Busy Busy Busy Last Friday, Steve and I drove over to Perdido Key to have lunch with Steve’s first cousin, Rick Nelson. I knew Rick before I met Steve as we both worked at the old AmSouth Bank (now Regions Bank) and at Compass Bank (now BBVA Compass). We met Rick at Fisherman’s Corner which is right across the bay from Rick’s condo. It was good to catch up with him. 2017 Life in our RV

Nov 13, 2015 - Chore Day

We have to have them--chore days. Gary and I were very productive today. We did our shopping early, and then tied into all the jobs associated with life on the road. He got the motorhome looking great on the outside while I worked on the inside and did laundry. There is only one little story for today. Gary saw a dog (lab) riding a motorcycle.
