Sep 23, 2012 - 'Shirley' day

great morning - coffee and newspaper by the lake. Bob was all set for a day of football. I went our shopping for a little while - limited clothing stores around here. I still need a dress for next week's wedding - the reason we are going to Atlanta. No luck so I went back to the camper and just enjoyed reading and relaxing. Good 'Shirley' day. We missed paying our respects to Elivs’ gravesite as the hours for free viewing were between 0730...

We left home this morning at 9:45 and drove to Pell City, Alabama to the Lakeside RV Resort. Had lunch at a rest area between Dublin and Macon, Ga, and made a second stop at a welcome center at the Alabama line. The park is on the shore of a large lake, which you can see in the background of the picture of Edie and Lady. We got hooked up, rested a while and then had a good supper, compliments of Miss Edie. Tomorrow we will drive to Memphis, where we will stay for 3 nights and get some site seeing in. The weather is good. We drove thrue a...
