Sep 12, 2018 - Maumelle Park, Little Rock

Drove to Little Rock today and will be staying at Maumelle Park two nights. Our campsite is right on the Arkansas River, and we have been sitting out in the shade and enjoying the peace, quiet, and birds. We have seen an immature Red Headed Woodpecker, an Indigo Bunting, an Eastern Phoebe, a Cardinal, and a Robin. Not exactly earth-shattering, but fun.

Sep 11, 2018 - Parkers Crossroads RV Park

Today was a long drive, but comparatively easy: no rain, very little traffic problems. We are at a delightful campground: clean, well-organized, level sites, lots of trees, friendly people. And best of all, they do minor RV repairs onsite. Our door that leads into the "house" part of the RV stopped working. Could not get it open either from the inside or the outside. In addition, we found last night that when we tried to turn the furnace on, it also turned on the air conditioning, which sort of defeats the purpose. The onsite repairman...
