On our way to Memphis we are stopping off in Anniston Alabama to visit my Aunt Nancy. Nancy is a doula (she DOES know something about birthing babies!). She is in a big new old house with tall ceilings and hardwood floors where she is both living and working. It comes complete with a garden with dirt. Real dirt. Not that life sucking sandy stuff we have in Florida. As a result, everything is growing like crazy. Nov 26, 2013 - Truck warning lights finally off

Driving to Oxford to get Bonnie her special dog food on the 15th and poor quality diesel fluid light flashed. Went to Cooper Chey Dealer, Danny added diesel exhaust fluid, light remained on. Nothing showed on the computer check, so told to drive it 35 miles and light would go off. Returned last Friday with light still on, they found a GMC bulletin, two pages of things to do. Found a second bulletin, we left just after closing and were told they could not guarantee that the truck was safe to return to Tally. Light changed to max speed 55,...

Oct 16, 2013 - Thomson ga

We drove the last 250 miles to stop and see his sister in Kennesaw and then on to Thomson ga where he inherited his father's house. We are back in the land of humidity and sweat already miss the canyons and dry air. Yukon is panting big time due to the humidity-we hope he will adjust as we are here longer. It's amazing to have a house again after 4 months of truck camping. We feel like we are in a mansion with so many rooms. We watched TV for the first time in 4 months and realized that everything is still the same. The govt is screwed up...

Oct 15, 2013 - Alabama

We left Arkansas and headed to I20 to go to Thomson ga where Bill has a house. Time to check on things after 4 months on the road. after being out west and seeing great things, the east gets tiring. We drove 360 miles today with a couple of stops for Yukon to walk and poot. Finally got to Oxford,Al where the manager at Publix said we could boondock in their parking lot. Had a great broasted chic with cole slaw and Yukon got to walk everywhere. thanks publix!
