Sep 29, 2007 - Mobile and Home

Found a good park just off the interstate. Jim and I were both tired and sore from the beating we took in Louisianna. When I walked the dogs that evening, I notice this beautiful live oak tree and couldn't resist taking a picture. For the first time in 5 weeks we were up early and on the road. It is Rebeccah's 7th birthday and we want to get home to surprise her. I called Savannah and got the time for the party and made sure that she wouldn't tell even Jennifer that we were coming. After 5 weeks on the road and some 4500 plus miles I am...

Jan 25, 2007 - Boll Weevils

Since we learned all about the boll weevil destroying the cotton, we head over to Enterprise, AL, which has a monument to the Boll Weevil. Nov 9, 2006 - Ozark, Alabama

We are at the Ozark Travel Park, Ozark, Alabama, where we will stay until next Monday. Pat said something I have never heard her say about a campground as we pulled in..."I really like this place, it is so well kept and clean looking." The park has Wi-Fi connection for free, Good Sam Club discount, nice laundry room, fishing pond, swimming pool, pull-thrus with plenty of room and a picnic table and bench, cable TV, the works. The topper to all that is that...

Pinder's On the Road

Sep 14, 2006 - Ozark, Alabama

John has to work in Enterprise, AL for two days but we are staying in Ozark home of Ft Rutger and the Air Museum. This is our second trip here and it was just as interesting this time as the last. They have changed some of the exhibits and added some really neat robotic planes and helecopters that are now in use in the Middle East for surveylance purposes. John really enjoys this museaum, I think the only thing that would make it better for him was if they had tanks! Other than the museum we have been quiet, we had the coach washed and...

Mar 30, 2006 - Here we are in 'Bama

Mile 2453 We're movin' again. In fact, we're finally in a different state and new time zone. We left the Florida Keys a little earlier than we had originally planned. A couple renting a spot across from us asked to rent our place for March, April and May but needed it from 01 March. It took us about two seconds to decide to grab the opportunity (will help to pay the taxes) and just start north a week early. Our friend Debbie paid us an afternoon visit while on a cruise through the Caribbean. It was a themed cruise. Guess what the theme...
