Drove from Arkansas to Mississippi and took one look at the campground and decided to drive on into Alabama. Good choice. We are at a campsite in William Bankhead National Forest. This is a new campground with full hookups. It is one of the nicest places we have stayed. We will pull out early and head to Florida to see the 8th Natural Wonder of the World.

May 29, 2006 - Memorial Day Weekend

Vicki & I took the bus & bike to the Corinth Recreation Area of the Wm. B. Bankhead Nat'l Forest, in northwest Alabama, for the Memorial Day weekend. This was our first visit to this campground; we would rate it amongst the best campgrounds that we have visited. We joked as we drove away today that the "host" staff must have misunderstood their role. They truly do make the visitors feel welcome & appreciated!!!!!! The grounds are very clean & well-kept.
