On Saturday, we drove from Ozark, AL to Montgomery, AL; we spent four days mostly checking out the "Birthplace of Civil Rights". We enjoyed the National Center on Civil Rights & African-American Culture. We visited the church where Dr. King was pastor and the parsonage where he and his family lived (and experienced bomb damage). The Civil Rights Memorial and the Rosa Parks Museum were great. The memorial was designed by Maya Lin (Vietnam Memorial). We joined thousands of others by signing the Wall of Tolerance ... making a pledge to work...
