May 22, 2011 - Hidden Cove RV Resort
The campground is out in the middle of nowhere, USA. Cell phone use we have "not". The nearest town is Arley and consisted of a grocery store, hardware store, and a post office. The lake which is named Smith lake, is beautiful. 500 miles of shoreline and beautiful clean water. Gorgeous houses, many located on high cliffs with stairs going down to the water. We have had a great time using our boat every day. The swimming pool here was empty every day except for us. Camping season here does not start until this weekend so the park is almost...

Jun 19, 2009 - Home again for the summer
We have been really home since May 1st. The past few weeks since we have been home we have had alot of rain putting the lake higher than normal which caused our gazebo & walkway to the dock to become partly underwater. I have been in the yard almost everyday since we have been home either cutting the grass, trimming all our 150 bushes or picking up branches. We have alot of land, so there is always something that needs cleaning or fixing. We just had to take our boat in to fix a pump that went bad from sitting with gas in it, yes no...

Sep 18, 2008 - Home sweet home alabama
Home at last. Yard work is not nearly as bad as before, may need to trim some bushes and cut the grass one last time. We will spend the time taking out the 4-wheeler to check out the fall tree's. Catch up with our friends that we missed this past summer. We our happy to be back home in Alabama,of all the places we have been this past year there is no other place we would want to be.

Jul 8, 2008 - Home at last
We drove just about straight home with only one stop over. We made it home about 12am. We were greeted by 4ft high weeds in the driveway as well as the jungle that once was my yard. We it looks like I have my work cut out for me for the next 3 or so weeks. My sister and her family are coming to visit on July 30 and after that a few days later we our on another road trip to Massachusetts. We will be still posting photos of our family guests enjoying the lake as well as our trip up the east coast to Massachusetts. So keep checking back to see...

Apr 13, 2008 - Smith lake**updated photos 4/10**
This view is from our pavilion last summer when my sister & nephew came to visit. Lake was warm and full at this time,nothing beats the summer at the lake. But we decided to leave this paradise in search of new adventures,hey there is always next summer. We will miss all our good friends at the lake,we look forward to sharing our stories with them when we return. See ya all soon.
