The forecast looked average- meaning temperature were in double figures and heavy rain was unlikely so in UK fashion it was all clear for Annie and myself to load up the car and headed to a campsite near Abergavenny. We were meet by her friends- a untraditional family of five. The site was on a farm where sheep inhabit during less tourist season. Aug 27, 2008 - Wales (E-tap Hotel Newport)
E-tap hotel is basic, but remarkably comfortable. Well except for the small toilet. Without taking too much away from the imagination if I sit on the loo my shoulders are wedged against either wall. And as for the clean up afterwards, well. Can I leave it with you imagining a large guy, doing amazing contortions, balancing on one leg, whilst swearing, almost taking the toilet roll holder off the wall and finally emerging with a back so cricked that it takes most of the day to unwind! Up early this morning as we head off to Wales to catch up with my Mum’s brother Eric and his partner Gill. They live in Newport in South Wales. We do breakfast and pack away the last of our stuff ready for the trip. It will be a sad parting with Uncle Jim and Auntie Pat. They have made us extremely welcome and we have both been very comfortable staying with them.
