A wonderful day in Wales, even the weather was fine. We enjoyed strolling the village, Magor, visiting the Post Office chatting to the locals and the St Mary Magor Church, Gothic style dated around year 1300 complete with bells that are used every week and the Church recently hosted a 'Bell Ringing training course' with many international bell ringers. Drove down the highway to 'St Fagans: National History Museum' and enjoyed a fantastic afternoon learning how the Welsh people lived, worked and relaxed. Fantastic huge open area with paths,...

Aug 16, 2011 - Wells

Hello from Wales, left Plymouth in the fog and light rain but arrived to clear day at amazingly beautiful village, Wells, that is dwarfed by HUGE Cathedral. Loved this quaint village especially the High street, so so pretty. We walked down to view Bishops Palace and Gardens complete with its own moat then entered HUGE Cathedral and joined 1 1/2 hr guided tour with John (about 70+) as our very informative and lovely guide (who went to same Uni as Paul in Adelaide for a Physics/Science project/lecturing contract for a few years!, before Paul...
