Jun 3, 2010 - We're Not Here Yet
Thursday, 13 May: We arrived in Stranraer, Scotland in plenty of time to take the noon ferry to Belfast, Northern Ireland. There was a light rain when we arrived and we drove through Belfast in search of our next camping site. A friendly auto shop worker greeted us with a “Hi, y’all” when we asked for directions, (he had visited Georgia and Las Vegas). We called Mr. Magennis who said he had room and when we arrived found four other campers on the front lawn. We borrowed an extension cord so we could plug in and had an easy dinner.

As you can see, they are naturals at it! Then came the fireworks and sparklers - great fun!

We have stayed in reasonably big cities since we've been in the UK so we want to stay somewhere smaller with a little bit of character. We end up in a town called Galvin which fits the bill on all counts - it's not too big, it's very pretty...

Dec 3, 2005 - The ferry to Scotland and our train trouble
The next morning we woke up so damn early and I was hurting a little from the night before. We went to the bus station and caught a bus to Belfast where we took a ferry (that was more like a cruise ship) to Stranraer Scotland. When we got to Scotland we were going to rent a car but all the rental places were closed seeing how it was Sunday. We missed the bus and the train out of this town and the next ones weren't for like 4 hours so we piled all of our stuff on one of those pusher carts and went into the city. And yes we took the cart with...
