Lovely green scenery with lots of Scotch Broom (invasive shrub with bright yellow blossoms), rhododendrons, houses without shutters, lots of sheep, some cattle, and pink & purple lupine . We enjoyed our visit to Scone Palace where most of the Scottish kings were crowned sitting upon the 'Stone of Scone'. Alas, no inside photos allowed here either and the furnishings were magnificent! It is still the family home for the Earls of Mansfield – for 400 years. (The current Earl is #12 and lives in South Africa.) A bonus for us – the Olympic Torch...
