Feb 14, 2012 - My new love for England

After the first few days of absolutely hating it here and counting the days till I go home, the culture shock wore off and I am now completely in love with this place. I was talking to a friend the other day about Winona and when I come back and I honestly kind of cringed thinking about it. Dont get me wrong, I will be beyond excited to come home and see my family and friends again and be in my own house and what not, but I have met such amazing people here and already have so many great memories here that I know these next few months will...

Feb 8, 2012 - A little relaxing by the beach... kinda

Every day here feels like it flies by I have come to realize. I feel like Im constantly doing something, which is great but also exhausting. Today I had class at 9am, in Winona if I had 9am class I would wake up at 830, grab some cereal quick and run out the door and make it to my class no problem. Here, I have to be up at like 7- usually 720 because I reset my alarm multiple times, because I have to catch the bus at 8:15 and it takes about 40 minutes to get to the St. Peters campus. Jan 31, 2012 - Orientation

Sorry sorry sorry for not writing anything really until now. The past few days have been a total blur. We arrived at the airport very early in the morning on Sunday and two guys from the school picked up a big group of us and took us to our flats. I have met my 7 other flatmates, many of them from Germany and a few from the US. All very nice people. We had a full day of orientation on Monday which included a visit with my adviser, an introduction to the campus and a social that evening at like a restaurant/ bar downtown. Its been great...

Jul 18, 2011 - 3Back Home

Got home - eagerly thought that I'd stick some info and a photo or two AND .... My home computer does not work. Completely Kaput!! Using the Laptop BUT - not for long, this was in my hand luggage fortunately, but the power cable is in my suitcase. My suitcase did not arrive from Dusseldorf today!!! I think that perhaps I was never meant to do this trip journal. Which makes me even more decided to do something. But not now as I have no power to this computer and the battery is running very low.
