Went to Llangynog in North Wales for the night to visit people Grae hadn't seen in 20 years. To pronounce the village name correctly you really do need a throatful of phlegm. Maureen and Dave live in an old slate mine manager's cottage at the side of a very steep hill. The weather was drizzly and misty which only added to the atmosphere.The area is surrounded by green hills and everywhere are remnants of the old mine and some very woolly sheep. For breakfast we were spoilt with a full Welsh breakfast complete with black pudding, sausages...

It was a sunny day when we left Selattyn, but it soon deteriorated into a cloudy and rainy day. We stopped at Rhayader for coffee and took a side trip up the Elan Valley although the poor weather masked a lot of the scenery. We were back in Cardigan at by late afternoon, and went in to see Mum before heading back to Sunfold. No photos!
