After our strenuous walk yesterday we thought we take life a little easier by driving along the coast towards Lyme Regis through some of the small villages. As we drove through the quaint village of Abbotsbury we saw a sign to Hardy’s Monument so we decided we would explore. We discovered that the Hardy Monument stands high on Blackdown Hill just above the small village of Portesham. A long day of activities planned, some very momentous walks, and once again I had trouble dragging myself out of bed. Even so I was up early compared to my normal life. We stopped at a store to pick up some food for a picnic and hit the road again. They were some particularly scary roads today - I have come to love the M roads, and fear the B roads. A roads have their moments. Ever since we started letterboxing in 2004 I have longed to box on Dartmoor, and today was finally the day, but I really don't feel like I have boxed on Dartmoor...
