After our strenuous walk yesterday we thought we take life a little easier by driving along the coast towards Lyme Regis through some of the small villages. As we drove through the quaint village of Abbotsbury we saw a sign to Hardy’s Monument so we decided we would explore. We discovered that the Hardy Monument stands high on Blackdown Hill just above the small village of Portesham. Jul 7, 2011 - Walks

A long day of activities planned, some very momentous walks, and once again I had trouble dragging myself out of bed. Even so I was up early compared to my normal life. We stopped at a store to pick up some food for a picnic and hit the road again. They were some particularly scary roads today - I have come to love the M roads, and fear the B roads. A roads have their moments. Ever since we started letterboxing in 2004 I have longed to box on Dartmoor, and today was finally the day, but I really don't feel like I have boxed on Dartmoor...
