I have been reading up on Cambodia. The interesting diseases we can catch, the jabs we MUST have and the DON'Ts far outnumber the DOs. There is a massive amount of unstable, unexploded ordnance lying around in the forest and the jungle, left over from when our American friends flew over the country in the 60's bless them. The best time to go is in February when we can't go, of course. So April 2011 will be our time of choice, when the humidity is high and the dust from the roads is all-pervasive. Oh yes, I haven't mentioned the 35C daytime...

Aug 19, 2010 - Nearly time to go!

So this time tomorrow I will be on my way to Thailand. I am feeling apprehensive in a good way. I have never been to anywhere like Thailand before - I am off on a tour with at least ten other people all over the country and I dont know what to expect. I thought it would be a good idea to try and keep a journal so you can all keep track of what I am up to. I will try and update it as often as I can and hopefully it will be something I can look back on in years to come. Even though I am nervous about going, I am really going to try and enjoy...
