We spent two nights at St Ives BnB in Dunoon. Our room in this Victorian seafront hotel overlooked the water, the Firth of Clyde. This town has always been popular with Glaswegian holidaymakers "doon the watta". There is a lovely old pier and lots of Victorian hotels along the seafront. The town also has an attractive promenade. We are enduring two days of full Scottish breakfasts complete with egg, bacon, baked beans, grilled tomato, mushrooms, black pudding, and haggis. May 9, 2013 - setting off

Two hellish train journeys later, me and Lou Lou reunited to talk trip stuff etc. Pulled out our bags, realised I must be a good packer when I managed to persuade her to ditch half her stuff she'd packed. Now I just need to decide between a pair of fanny breeks and a pair of jeans, or two pairs of fanny breeks.
