Yesterday we drove through Enniskillen to Omagh, and then through some very scenic country with the Sperrin Mountains in the distance and following a river much of the way to Strabane. From there to Londonderry, or Derry, the name preferred by the locals - which we saw on the other side of the river but did not venture into the town. We then followed the coast road to Limavady and on to Coleraine, then back around the coast to Bushmills where we found the Ballyness Caravan Park by mid-afternoon. We had a relaxing afternoon and evening....

Jul 29, 2012 - Day 4 & 5 - Ballycastle to The Giant's Causeway
I'm sitting in a beautiful little veranda overlooking the ocean as I write my blog today. We just arrived at our B&B for the evening. It's so peaceful and calm here in Bushmills, Northern Ireland. Yesterday we walked through our last forest (!) from Ballycastle to Ballintoy which was 15.7km. Helen and I both fell in love with the town of Ballycastle. It's right on the sea with some great little shops. I think the owner of a local jewelery store fell in love with us as between the 2 of us we bought 8 pieces of jewelery. What can I say? It...

Apr 23, 2012 - Northern Ireland - Causeway Costal Route
17th April 2012 (Bed No 18) Today we had planned a long trip along the Causeway coastal route, which is considered one of the world’s great road journeys. We travelled for two hours to Londonderry where our journey began. To see everything along the Causeway coastal route would take days, as time did not permit, we chose 5 points of interest.
