Jul 3, 2015 - Walk at the end of the Llyn peninsula

Today we explored the most westerly point of The Llyn peninsula. The weather was just beautiful. We stopped at the little but popular village of Abersoch first before heading to headland of Braich-y-Pwll. From here we enjoyed a walk around the headland with views across Bardsey Sound to Bardsey Island and along the Llyn peninsula. Bardsey (Ynys Enlli) in the 13th century was the location of St Mary’s Abbey which provided sanctuary for religious refugees, bards and pilgrims many of whom chose to end their days there.
