Had a lovely breakfast which extended by another hour as we chatted with our hosts Dave and Mary Carr- a really nice couple and full of laughs. Eventually got away about 10am and travelled through the picturesque towns of Portrush and Portstown where we purchased a fantastic phot of the lifeboat leaving port through 45 feet waves on a rescue mission- it's a great shot. Sep 27, 2008 - Of Eccentrics and Giants
We went down for breakfast and realized that the house had a beautiful view over a small river and across Limavady to the distant hills. The sun was breaking through and we expected a good day ahead. We set off after discussing our plans with the landlady and headed along the coast where we noticed an odd structure on the cliff top. We stopped and found the remains of a massive Bishop’s Palace built by Frederick Augustus Hervey, Bishop of Bristol and Derry.
