Started our Paddy Wagon tour today. Another sunny day! First stop was a little town called Drogheda. Went into St Peters Church which holds the head of St Oliver Plunkett, a Roman Catholic Archbishop who was hanged in 1681. The skull is perfectly preserved in a glass box at the front of the church. Next stop was Monasterboice, to view the historic ruins of the round tower and Celtic crosses dating back to the 10th century.
