My lesson for today was that Belfast has more to offer than red-bricked housing and political murals. ... With bright blue skies and a warm northerly wind We started our personal tour with our gracious host, Tina, in the centre of Belfast’s shopping district on Royal Avenue heading out towards the city’s gigantic cranes at Harland and Wolff shipyard, the docklands which at one time held the ill-fated Titanic. ... I went with Matt, Liz, and Marshall, and we checked into our hostel right around 7pm. ... It was nice to see it so peaceful though. ... Down at the Causeway it was a little cold and windy, but walking up the hills a tiny bit, it was sunny and warm! After the Causeway, we went back to Belfast and took a Black Cab tour, which was the best tour I've been on here so far. ... He took us through all of West Belfast, which is where the Troubles of the past several decades took place and where you can still see the Peace Walls built between the Catholic and Protestant neighborhoods by the British Army 40 years ago. ...
