Farewelled Malc and Ann after a short but grateful and lovely stay. Headed to Birmingham to visit the biggest Cadbury shop in the world! Stocking up for the drive we head to Shakespeare country. We stop at the very popular village Stratford-upon-Avon. Not enjoying our school days studying Shakespeare we decide against the costly visit to Shakespeare's Birthplace, Nash's House (his final home), Anne Hathaway's Cottage (his future bride's family home), Hall's Croft (Jacobean home of his daughter) and Mary Arden's Farm (his mum's childhood...

Jul 5, 2011 - Stoke-on-Trent

Spent the morning trying to uploads photo's.....what a nightmare! After a delicious roast chicken lunch we visited the Wedgwood Museum and Shop at Barlaston. Dan with his great pottery skills had a go at the potter's wheel, making himself a lovely Wedgwood bowl, which will be sent to him in Australia in 2-3wks time, once it has been through the kiln and what ever else is required for the product to set. It was then back home for more photo uploading. Not having tasted Black Pudding we sat down to dinner....guest what we had, Black Pudding...

Jul 4, 2011 - Caernarfon / Stoke-on-Trent

Over the biggest breakfast yet we chatted to a farming couple from Birmingham way. Not seeing much of Caernarfon yesterday we visited the Caernarfon Castle, probably the best looking castle so far as most of the walls/towers etc are in tact. We then took a walk through the town's square, checking out the quirky little streets and along the promenade that lines the Menai Strait.
