Walking into Melksham today we spotted some jobs advertised in the window of the employment agency. Someone having a bit of fun in these trying times. It gave us a laugh. The 12th Century Church, St. Michael's, has a very large cemetery, it's such a shame that the majority of the grave stones are now unreadable due to erosion, as in most grave yards here. A nice little town, and we came across the supermarket so were able to get some supplies. However it started to rain as we made our way back to the boat, so we ended up soaked through....

Jun 10, 2020 - How lucky can you be

Salisbury Plains is just over there! Our walk up into Seend yesterday gave us the view. Today we left Seend and 4 locks and 2 swing bridges later we arrived at Semington, very pleased to find the last mooring spot with rings. You can be lucky sometimes. These old signs were attached to a farmer's house - brought back some memories of years gone by. This lock was repaired by Contractors last year and they laid the bricks out so far that it made the lock too narrow so they had to knock it all down again. This is in Semington just up from...
