Friday May 7 Nic had her day off today so nice to spend time with her and Sophie exploring Newbury.Another quaint little English town set on a very picturesque canal.Boys and Sophie had a blowout in the park before walking along the riverbanks of the canal,past the lock and into the main street where low and behold we discovered another West Cornwall Pasty Shop.Yay!We chanced upon this great shop in Bath thanks to Morag and Blacky,devine Cornish pasties smuggled in from Cornwall…yum,yum,yum me hearties.Kids loved the pirate theme and the...

Today we had planned to visit a few gardens of the many National Trust properties that are on our journey back towards Heathrow, but the weather was not too cooperative. We stopped at Montecute House but the gardens were not too exciting and we spent most of the day exploring the local countryside staying off the main roads as we journeyed to Fisher Farm, our last stop over of the trip.

Hi all. Well, here goes...the first entry. I'm writing this from my seat in a very shining new 747-400s courtesy of BA. I've often wondered what the 's' stands for...it's certainly not 'small'. Anyway, we didn't get to bed until 2am this morning, only to have that insane alarm clock wake us again at 5. Still, someone's taking care of us, we've just been upgraded to business class...start as u mean to go on eh?. :-) Today is the beginning of our South America tour & the culmination of months of planning.
