This place was dubbed "The prettiest village in England”, and while I agree that it is quite charming, I’d also say it has got to be one of the smallest. There is literally one road! The earliest reference to the Church is from 1291 and it houses the tomb of a real knight of the crusades! Josh was quite taken with it. It [the village] really is a well preserved, slice of history; our guide said that it was one of the woolen boomtowns that stopped growing and progressing when cotton took over the market—hence its almost time-warped state!
