Dec 28, 2012 - Last day in Cambridge
I can't wait to see everyone in the U.S. I am also kind of sad to leave because we have developed some enjoyable hobbies. Also the couple friends I have made I'll miss. But I think that this opportunity to live in a different culture like this was mostly enjoyed by my family even if it started out a bit rough in the beginning. We will get back they 29th and will be excited to see people. But probably will be too tired to. I am also interested in what everyone is learning in America because I think I might have become slightly smarter. PS. I...

Dec 21, 2012 - last day of school in England
I had lots of fun on the last day of term because we didn't do much learning and we had extra break. One thing that was sad was that it was the last day in this English school. I also want to go home because I'm missing a lot of friends. I was kind of overwhelmed today when everyone kept telling me to stay and I wanted to but felt more strongly about going back to RI. But besides a lot of mixed feelings I had a great day. My next blog will probably be about going to France so try to keep in touch with me. bye

Dec 16, 2012 - Amy's- Cambridge & London
So after returning from Dublin at night time,it was time for a good night's sleep because the next day I would be taking the train from Leeds to St. Neots- a small town where my friend Amy lives close to. I slept well and went to catch my train at 14.00. This was the first time I navigated the train by myself.. and I even had to transfer trains in Peterbourgh! Luckily, it all went smoothly. I got to St. Neots where Amy, her mom, and her brother Richard picked me up. We drove to her house. A quick side- note, most British cars are manual...

Dec 9, 2012 - Tourist attractions in London
On Saturday we went to a lot of tourist attractions in London. We went to big Ben, the London eye, the British museum, Harrods, and Buckingham palace. Two of my favorite things were Harrods, the department store where you can get all sorts of things, for instance, meat and chocolates. Those were the only two things we really got to see there because the place was so large and because it was way too crowded. But we didn't mind, we still enjoyed our selves. The British museum was fun for the first hour but after that Adrian and I started to...

Nov 27, 2012 - Harry Potter
One day we went to see the Harry Potter stuff from the movies in Warner bros studios. Something that we were able to see in Dumbledore's office was the sorting hat. What I liked about the Harry Potter stuff was that everything there they used in the movies including rooms like the Gryffindor common room and the potions room. I liked the gift shop too because they had all the candies and chocolates that were in the movies. I think I enjoyed the whole place but something that stood out was that where Harry buys all the equipment for...

Nov 18, 2012 - Exploring the colleges of Cambridge
After several days of heavy rain the sun shone once again so we decided to visit Cambridge. The town is renowned for its parking problems so we decided we would try out the local bus service. From Huntingdon, St Ives and some of the larger villages in between there is a dedicated bus road. We had experienced similar in Ottawa but this was slightly different as the road had concrete guard tracks so that the driver didn’t even have to steer. It was a very efficient service and quickly got us into Cambridge right on the main street. Cambridge...

Oct 27, 2012 - Han China
Today we went to the Fitzwilliam museum. There we went to see a Chinese exhibit on Chinese kings that were buried 2 thousand years ago. When the king would die he would be buried with his servants because they believed in the afterlife and they thought that the king would need all his troops and everyone he had in every day life. They believed it was lucky to be buried with the king because they thought they would be immortal. While we were there I was surprised how hard the Chinese tried to protect there king because there were armed...

Oct 16, 2012 - Uncle Michael's visit and an air show
Uncle Michael's visit- it was very fun. We went to an air show at the Duxford Imperial War Museum. There were really cool planes doing flips in the air. I saw helicopters and a Spitfire flying with a German plane. It was like a Messerschmitt but is wasn't one. The spitfire reminded me about World War 2. Here is a picture of me inside of a plane that could go in water and fly. from ADRIAN

Oct 16, 2012 - soccer match with school
On Saturday I got picked to play for my school's soccer team.We were playing a tournament. We came 5th. Our first game we lost 1-0, our second was a tie and our third we won 3-0, our fourth we won 2-1.Each game was 12 minutes long. I played defender. One of our goalies was really good and blocked a lot of amazing shots. Our other goalie wasn't so good because in the beginning when someone kicked the ball straight at his foot he messed up and they scored. It could have been an accident but it looked more like a lack of effort. We had fun that...

Oct 6, 2012 - crown jewels
Today I saw the crown jewels. It was cool. The crown jewels were in the Tower of London. It was built in 1078. We went to the Museum of London . There were skulls in there from battles from before the Romans came to London and swords from battles . We saw Chelsea play Norwich city 4-1 Chelsea. I have a Tudor ring with an emerald in it. I thought I lost it, but it was in my pocket. My favorite thing was the Museum of London because they had tusks from mammoths. It was so interesting.

Oct 5, 2012 - Trip to Kentwell the Tudor village
A couple of days ago I went to Kentwell Hall for a school trip. Kentwell Hall is a Tudor village. The tudors lived in 1485-1603. They act just like tudors. They speak the Tudor language , like saying "AYE". They called us "chilluns" They even slept there. I dressed just like a Tudor. I wore tights and a vest and a hat and had to carry a cup for drinking water.
