The day starts with the now familar drive down windy roads (ha ha ha) until I find a sign indicating that ancient monuments are in the area. Then a half mile walk up a random lane and across a field and I reach the Man-a-Tol which is one of the more famous ancient monuments as it has a donut shaped stone as well as two uprights. It was then off to Lanyon Quoit which is just up the road. More churches and then off to Tintagel which is where some say King Arthur was born. Sep 9, 2011 - Croyde to OMG! Tintagel.....

Hi guys,well after a very windy night in Croyde at the resort????? Wow it was a great resort maybe back in 1952! wind blowing through door cracks,no towels and no self catering which we had asked for....But beds comfy,we woke up the next morning had a buffett breakfast with all the resort guests....we were the only ones not with walking frames or false teeth!! We think they were the original 1950's guests. Ha ha but lovely breakie and had a moan about the wind and towels and they kindly gave us the night free,we will do this more often. Ha...
