May 25, 2013 - Camp setup
Beautiful little town in Long Sutton. Ladies at Laurel Campground are wonderful. Took a little break and came back in town to meet the locals. Beautiful parish church. I will put stains on FB when I get back. Staying in for tea and then back for the evening. Long trip to Skegness and back tomorrow!

May 24, 2013 - Goal #1 - Play The Old Course... Nailed it!
Hello again! Well if you are a golfer or know one you probably know that playing The Old Course at St. Andrews is on every golfers bucket list. I had the opportunity to play it 5 years ago on a solo trip to Scotland and afterward I added a new item to my bucket list... watching my boys play it one day. Well if you are a golfer you also know how difficult it is to get a tee time at The Old Course. Since St. Andrews is the Mecca for golfers around the world there are literally a thousand golfers trying to play the course each day. They have a...

May 24, 2013 - Called it!
Alright friends . . . I have relented and called it a day. This weather cell is not going away soon enough for me to get out of here today. I have planned a shorter trip west tomorrow, up the coast Sunday then back to that same camp spot on Sunday evening so I can get back over here Monday, before yet another squall comes through. We'll leave this 400 miler for the "S" word . . . if it ever gets here. Pray for a sunrise tomorrow or at least a little drier weather and perhaps the little red dot on the map will move a bit! LoL

May 24, 2013 - The Red Dot Shall Move
Yes, ever so gently due to weather, but I will put some distance on the map's red dot today. I will change the itenarary before I leave, but plans are to go camp west of Kings Lynn and then do an out and back to Skegness tomorrow, staying at the same campground tomorrow night, then back Monday. Travelling prays for me still please, even with the shorter distance. I will catch up with you later at the camp and in the little market town of Stickney.

May 23, 2013 - Heathrow
No sightseeing today, just spending time getting organised for my trip to Morocco. I spent the morning sorting the stuff I want to leave here in London, trying to keep my Morocco luggage as light as possible because I think I’ll be carting it around quite a lot. We’ll be using public transport for a couple of trips so I need to keep it manageable but it’s a bit hard to tell what the weather will be like. The forecast is for 20°C & cloudy in Casablanca for the next couple of days but the long-term forecast has Marrakech into the 30s next...

May 23, 2013 - William Wallace Memorial, Stirling Castle & Falkirk Wheel
Hello again from sunny old Scotland! I can't believe it but we actually enjoyed our second sunny, warm day in a row which is very rare here. I started the day off with my usual early morning walk through town and had a close encounter with a horse down at West Sands Beach. For those of you that remember the Academy Award winning movie "Chariots of Fire", this is where they filmed the opening and closing scenes where they run on the beach. Apparently there is a no leash law in effect for horses here because this big guy was having fun in the...

May 23, 2013 - Wildlife of Costa Del Sol
Bioparc Fuengirola The facility has been established as a safari park for providing natural habitat to each foreign species. An entire temple has been setup in accordance with the grandeur of the big cats, which range from Bengal tigers, leopards and even white tigers. A gigantic aquarium has been setup for marine species like turtles and dolphins, while birds like flamingoes and owls are also present. A nest of crocodiles is set beside their own pond, accompanied by hippopotamuses. Monkeys including orangutans, gorillas and other species...

May 23, 2013 - Abbreviation
If I can trust meteorology then there is not much chance of outrunning this 10 a.m. cell in the red circle. It looks far more promising by noon or so . . . but 100 miles to destination by then with the evening traffic on a bank holiday weekend is questionable. Looking for abbreviated stop locations in case I can get out of here some time later today.

May 23, 2013 - Weather Delay
It is apparently still winter here. I am adventurous, but I am not Bear Grylls and my Wingman, the weather forcaster (and what little good sense I have) has suggested a delay. So I am sipping coffee as I watch the tall pines outside, bent nearly to the ground from the wind, get pounded by torrents of freezing rain. (You get the picture I'm sure) The weather map looks like this is a slow cell, not likely to give me much of a break today, but I will let you know how it goes . . .

May 23, 2013 - Packed and ready to go!
Temp has dropped significantly and there was a cloudburst. Maybe it is just getting it all out of its system before I leave in the morning. I hope to take a sunrise pic for you. If not then I will get something for you before I stop for coffee. Night, and I'll check back in the morning. Packing is always the fun part!

May 23, 2013 - London....what else can I say? :)
OMG! This has been one of the greatest things I've ever done! Josh and I are having a ball! We have been everywhere! St. Paul's Cathedral, Big Ben, Parliament, Trafalgar Square, The Royal Courts, The Monument, Platform 9 3/4, Regent's Park, Regent's College, Piccadilly Circus, the Punch & Judy Pub, the British Museum, and more I can't even remember. The Underground is the greatest public transportation system I've ever encountered. And there will be more today. We are going back to Parliament to see if we can watch some debates, then going...

Stayed at Nicky's Last night and said goodbye to the puppies (Snuffy at 12 is probably a bit beyond puppy but still acts like one. Have had time in Singapore to visit my favourite Massage place and also have my feet nibbled by the fish. Great feeling but must have a lot of dead skin. I gave up before they did. Have discovered since that the oil is removed from your skin as well!! Need to book an oil massage AFTERWARDS! Survived the flight better than expected. But I'm sure the space between seats gets increasingly smaller. Was there a...
