Nov 27, 2008 - Visit to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary and journey to Kampala

After breakfast, we left the Imperial Botanical Beach Hotel and walked several hundred meters down the road to the Uganda Wildlife Education Center. There we met up with our guide Evelyn and other tourists also going to the Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a 50 hectare island 23 kilometers south of Entebbe on Lake Victoria. All of Ngamba Island is now a sanctuary for orphaned chimpanzees.
