Dec 11, 2008 - Community Walk in Rwenzori Foothills & Journey to Fort Portal
Today we awoke to a foggy mist at the Rwenzori Backpackers Hostel in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. After a pancake breakfast at Rwenzori Backpackers this morning, we ventured out on a so-called "community walk" offered by the hostel. This community walk consisted of a hike through local villages lead by two local villagers who pointed out various sights - both cultural and natural - which we saw during our hike.
