This looks like a more porsperous city. 8 freighters in the bay. I walked into town. First had a turkish coffee with a shop keeper. They like to offer you a drink and don`t expect to be paid for it. It was the same in Istanbul. Bought Bob a shirt. Things are expensive. No central market. Talked to 3 high school girls who spoke some English as it is taught here. Ages were 16, Elif, Birsen and Zeynap. All want to be teachers. They live in a dorm as they come from outside the city. Some older women wear head scarves but not the young ones....
