Hello, Today we would walk the Ihlara Valley. This is an oasis amongst the dry local environment; it is basically a 100m deep, 200m wide, crack in the earth that not only houses animal wildlife but also humans. There are trees, farming plots and grass growing easily in this fertile soil that is irrigated by the stream. It is a 16km walk up the valley, from either Selime to Ihlara, up stream, or downstream from Ihlara to Selime. Oct 24, 2004 - Driving into the İnterior...

We had our rental car delivered on Fri. the 22nd and took off wıth great anticipation to tackle the highways and byways of the western area of Cappadocia... We were expecting to have to cover between 800 and 1000 kms. ın 2 days. The first night we had covered a mere 332 kms. before stopping at Lake Egırdır, the temperature having dropped considerably.
