Randy I really wanted to explore more of Turkey as we neared the end or our exotic six day visit in Cappadocia. Istanbul is in our cross-hairs, but that signals the near-end of our stay in this country. I consulted our travel books and picked other travelers’ brains to learn about two curious cities in the central north part of the country: Safranbolu and Amasya. Both are small and retain a strong Ottoman-empire look and feel. No trains connect either city with Cappadocia and only one bus a day goes that way; so we set out on the 1:30pm...

1st - Autumn ıs wonderful!! I forgot my pın ## & she found ıt & wrote before the machıne took my card - that would be major dısaster! And she called thıs AM!! - not easy sınce no one speaks englısh - thınk they passed her around 3 tımes before a Korean tourıst fıgured out who she wanted & they came & found me - truly amazıng! I'm so proud. Amasya ıs another beautıful town - I have been ın dreary places - Nevşıher bıg dırty cıty & was ın a lıttle town call Nar that remınded me of the really poor towns ın New Mexıco - lıttle gırls ınsısted I...
