Mar 18, 2010 - Back to Thailand
Since we last wrote, we've done a good deal of travelling about. We arrived in Bangkok yesterday, and had our final night out with Rich, Stuart and Charles in celebration of St Paddy's Day (and very importantly: Sugar Day). ... Today we rode on ANOTHER river boat around the city canals, avoiding the demonstrations on the roads, and tonight we'll be getting an early night in eager anticipation of Emily's arrival and the beginning of The Final Phase! We've managed to find out that there are 15 people on our next 8-day tour, so we expect we'll have plenty to say about them in our next blog, featuring special guest: Emily Davidson! For now we're off to our hotel to spend some time in the pool, and enjoying some fresh fruit shakes.Since we last wrote, we've done a good deal of travelling about. Yet another very lazy lie-in and then it’s time to pack, and for me, it’s with a heavy heart as my princess week of luxury is over. We then have a great view of the North side of Koh Samui. ... One is also in German too so figure this is where the Germans come to for a budget holiday on Koh Samui. ... Mar 10, 2010 - Rain, Glorious Rain
It was 92 degrees, with fierce humidity! Now one thing Chiang Mai (or every part of SE Asia we've been in so far) does not get this time of year is rain. ... Thrilling! Jill has spent her three weeks in Chiang Mai attending Thai Massage classes and loving every minute of it. ... , when the BBQ gets into full swing, it's still in the high 80's, so Jill and I, both lovers of campfires, keep a safe distance as there is no need to excite the sweat glands any more than they already are!
