Hello Everyone! Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, it has been hard to find internet. Right now I am in an internet cafe in Singburi, Thailand. I have done tons of stuff, but I will start from where I last left off, and see how far I can get with the time I have left to use the internet. So, I suceeded in blocking out my feelings for a impressively long time, but when I had to say goodbye to my mom, they all poured out. Feb 27, 2008 - Bangkok & Chiang Mai Province
Bangkok...amazing, crazy, bustling and sweaty. This is a city that affects your every sense. You have to let go of your western sensabilities and expectations to fully appreciate this city. We did so much in our first full day in Bangkok and what better way than by express river boat. We made our way to the Reclyning Bhudda Temple and crossed the river to the Temple of Dawn. I can't imagine anywhere else that would allow you to so freely climb such steep steps - but what an amazing view! Back on the river boat and a visit to the 24...Jump to full entry
Oct 10, 2007 - Bankok, Thailand on our way out. Khaosan road
Well we lost one of our party today. Steve Houli left early this morning but we did the right thing by taking him out last night having a few drinks so he'll be good and tired on the airplane... and a bit hungover too. Tony Phillips and I leave tomorrow for Hong Kong and my brother, Tony leaves just after midnight. Today we took a trip out to the floating market. How cool is this place? Well, We finally arrived and just after grabbing our luggage, Steve and I heard a familliar deep LOUD voice. It was my brother, Tony waiting in line at immigration with a huge smile on his face and bloodshot, tired eyes. After a long cab ride,we came to Kol San road and I walked ahead of them as Tony Phillips thought it was just me coming. He yelled out "BRET!" and I put my pack down, and told him I had a suprise.
