We rised early again and had tea on the terrace of the tent at dawn. The noise we heard during the night turned to be flock of elephants that had broken twigs from the trees to eat the leaves. We went back to the airstrip during observation of the wildlife and saw among other animals a lion close to the car. The chartered plane was waiting at the airstrip, now a single-engine Cessna 208B with the same pilot that had taken us to Tarangire the day before.
