Let the Day begin.It's time for some Piz Gloria Action. It's where they filmed the James Bond movie 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service.' Yeah, huge James Bond fan. I'm up at 730am, finish off my OJ, enjoy a cracker snack and banana. I go strip off my sheets and pillow cases and take them downstairs. Grab some new ones and make up the bed. These are my Check-out chores. I pack up Mister Potluck while people are starting to stir around the hostel. It's Sunny and not raining. It's a beautiful Friday morning! Feb 15, 2008 - On a clear day you can see forever!!
Today was the highlight of our trip so far! Yes it was a beautiful cloudless and cold day! Just the day to go to the dizzy heights of 3000m. We had bought tickets to go up to Schilthorn, a peak of 3000m with 360° panoramic views of the Jungfrau, Eiger and Monch peaks. What a trip it was..... Train from Interlaken to Lauterbrunnen, then cable car/funicular to Murren. A walk through the snow covered streets of Murren then Cable car for 2 legs right up to the Schilthorn.
