May 22, 2019 - Day 8 - Kreuzlingen into Austria

Day 8 - Wednesday 22 May 19 We were away from the hotel for the breakfast snack at our now favourite coffee shop Pano at 0845 hrs. Kaye ordered pastries and coffees while I purchased tickets to view the gardens on Isle Mainau. Our plan was to take the 55 minute trip by ferry from the terminal to the Isle via Meersburg; a shoreline village we had visited in 2014. We departed on time at 1000 hrs in cool and overcast conditions but not raining. The trip was smooth with skies clearing. For the next 2.5 hrs we wandered the magnificient gardens....

May 21, 2019 - Day 7 - Kreuzlingen

Day 7 - Tuesday 21 May 19 - Kreuzlingen, We awoke to another wet day with the forecast for it to continue until at least tomorrow. Thankfully we did not make our hotel booking with breakfast included and got underway at 0930 hrs for the 10 minute walk into Constance. A snack of coffee and a pastry at the nearby Lago shopping centre was sufficient to give a boost to the day’s start. May 20, 2019 - Day 6 - Kreuzlingen

Day 6 - Monday 21 May 19 - Kreuzlingen We are now programmed for 0700 hr rises. Following breakfast in the hotel, having settled our account, we were away at 0850 hrs for the 225 km drive to Kreuzlingen. We initially drove by way of the motorway before taking the forested route from Rastatt to Fluorn. Whilst foggy for most of the way, the countryside was rich and green and perfect European countryside.
