May 22, 2011 - Sweden first impressions

Sunday 23rd We arrived in Malmo, Sweden yesterday by taking the train (we weren't allowed to cycle)over the spectacular bridge that spans the straight between it and Copenhagen. Malmo is a lovely place that is obviously benefiting from the bridge with new buildings going up in the Swedish style ie clean, well designed and efficient. We spent the evening watching the sun going down over Copenhagen radiating a beautiful red glow onto the bridge - shame I can't get the picture to go on isn't it? Today we've had a really hard day battling...

Sep 22, 2010 - sweden cont,d

ok, so at least 6 days ago; we headed up to sweden::: we spent time with the Kennedys and extended family;; we feasted on Asa,s salmon and some kind of white fish in a white sauce:: the following day it rained so we kicked it back at john and asa s for the day; nice! we had qa much more sunny day the following day, so john and asa toured us in the southern of sweden;;; just the four us driving around in johnny s convertible beamer..fun! they showed us castles and forts super cool::out of this world to imagine knights on horses battling...

Sep 20, 2010 - Sweden.....

...stay tuned... sept 20 ok, we re back... so we flew from Paris to copenhagen to meet up with Terri's uncle Johnny and tomas, terri's cousins husband.. they picked us up from the copenhagen airport to continue into Sweden. ok, so super cool, to get from copenhagen to malmo sweden, there is a 87 km bridge to get over the North sea into Sweden.. half of the bridge is actually under water then it pops up over the water. neat! we haven t been doing much site seeing, but more importantly spending time with family. We are staying with jhonny...

Jun 14, 2010 - Sweden here we come

And so to the thing that Nick was looking forward to most. Crossing the mammoth Oresund Bridge from Denmark to Sweden – a 17km long engineering marvel. You’ll have seen it on “Megastructures”, or “How Do They Do That?” Or “Concrete Stuff That Only Boys Like” – one of those channel 5 programmes about things like this. It was amazing though. First there’s a tunnel to a man-made island just off the coast of Copenhagen, then the bridge starts and takes you all the way to Malmo. We were a bit nervous about entering Sweden as it has the strictest...
