Jul 2, 2007 - Xátiva and La Albufera

Marti and I headed up to a gorgeous little town about a 45 minute train ride from here, called Xátiva. As we left the city it was mostly grotty looking industrial towns and the odd orchard/farm, and to be honest Xátiva didn't look any better on the approach. Once we walked into the town though, it was really pretty with tree-lined streets. A huge castle dating back to 2000BC sits high above the city and is the key thing to see here.
