Aug 1, 2005 - Clare and I let loose...
I feel a little bit like Al right now (Hello Al miss you heaps) as I have almost devoted a whole day to catching up on internet and sorting things out. As Jose spends the day in Southern Spain sorting his final things, as this is my last day in Spain, I too am catching up. I have now sent about 65 kgs back to Dubai, of what I really do not know, other than Golf Clubs; useless gifts from Honduras and of course José's iron (said without the R). Fiona will love it as it has a computer in it - he is very much into his technology although I am...Jump to full entry
The Next bit - the Spainish Inquisition Tuesday 28th September Right you lot, it's sing-a-long-a time; so after 3 - 1, 2 and 3 "We're off to sunny Spain, Viva Espanya" Ok that's enough!! So we leave a quiet (no wind) and sunny Argeles to head down and up and down a very twisty coast road before heading across country and then down to Blanes (nr Gerona). Now I know we are all in the EU, and crossing borders should be easier - but France to Spain - well there used to be a border checkpoint - but now there's nothing but an old deserted...Jump to full entry
Sep 21, 2004 - Sitting by the side of the road in the middle of nowhere....
Today we left Granada and decided to go off the beaten path abit and head for a small town on the coast of Almeria. We had no idea that we arrived at the destination, because there wasn´t even a bus station, the driver just said, get off now this is Mojacar. So we jumped off and it was really hot and there was no shade, no hotels or hostels in sight. We wondered around for awhile and there were only houses and a commerical centre...It was rather funny actually. So we had to jump onto the local bus to the next town and then catch a bus to...Jump to full entry
Jun 2, 2004 - Torrevieja
I spent a few Days with Gary and Allison and Allison's Parents. Torrevieja is full of English exiles in retirement where they try to re-create home with Indian restaurants, pub quizes and English food. Great for them but not what I was looking for. Allison's parents are very hospitable and very patient; when Gary and I are together we are impossible!Jump to full entry
