We left Camping Los Llanos mid-morning yesterday and drove 217km to Alhama de Murcia. Our destination was Camping Sierra Espuña in El Berro (N 37° 53' 17" W 1° 29' 35"). It was a beautiful day and most of the trip on the motorway was pleasant scenery; the toll was €11.35. The last part was a winding road up into the hills, and YES we missed a signpost and YES we drove through the village despite the instruction in the ACSI guide NOT to. We had a long driving day getting down from the Costa Dorada to Murcia region, but it was worth getting it over with. We wanted to get down south as soon as possible to get the warmer weather, and the Costa Blanca didn't really hold any appeal, so we skipped it completely. We skirted around the edges of Murcia town, the urban mess sprawling into the desert around it, as far as I could see. What do I know, might be a nice town when you get in it.
