Dec 25, 2010 - Feliz Navidad!

Merry Christmas everybody!!!!! This is obviously delayed because it is not going to get posted on the day of but this will be a little treat for everybody once the holidays are over to be wished a very merry! Today started off a little slower than the rest just because of the locals bringing of holiday cheer into the wee hours of the morning. We definitely made it down for breakfast though because our hotel was closing down after breakfast and wouldn't be back open until dinner so free breakfast was not going to be missed! The Great Adventure

Jul 18, 2008 - We've been here three days and Randy hasn't gotten his luggage yet . . ..

It´s a warm morning in Biniali . ... It actually has rained here and there these last few days which is unusual, of course. Everyone here is thankful for the coolness so they can do walkabouts on the sea wall or the beaches. We spent a lovely evening last night with Ramon and Monique at their home with the kids, Ivan, Eric and Judit. We had a tour of their wonderful home, which looks a whole lot different from the way it was thirteen years ago when we were here when it was still being renovated. We had pá amb´ólies. Our European Summer

Sep 20, 2006 - The Boquer Valley

Wednesday 20th. September 2006: Everybody was knackered this morning after yesterday's ridge walk in the sun, so Gordon decided to explore our local village paths with the aim of striking up to L'Ofre Peak direct from the village,(unsuccessfully) whilst the rest of us drove to Port de Pollenca to walk in the Boquer Valley, famous for migrating birds. September is supposed to be a good time so we were hopeful of seeing some interesting ones. We did see a Blackcap, (later corrected to a Sardinian Warbler)Wheatear and possibly Rock Thrushes....

Sep 13, 2006 - A day of bird watching

Wednesday 13th. September: Oh dear! more heavy thunder clouds are gathering over the mountains (carol's cloud!)so reluctantly we decided to do a "Spike" and visit the bird sanctuary at Alcudia. Arrived in reasonable weather (it was at the coast) and hired bikes on the reserve. There are some real BIG fish in the lagoons but decided that they were not as big as Spikes!
