Saturday 12th Sept Left Tamarite, through the valley south towards Flix, where we picked up the river L'Ebre. Stunning scenery, mountains and valleys all the way down to Tortosa, where we turned into the delta area of the river,a national parc which was part swamps, part rice fields. The Aire we headed for was at a restaurant with camping, a gorgeous outlook over the reed beds at Port dels Alfacs. Space for 40 m homes but it was only half full by night time. Nov 30, 2010 - Hola Mr Sunshine!

It rained as far as Barcelona, but once we'd passed Tarragona, and arrived at the campsite, honestly, the sun came out. The campsite was lovely, the lady at reception was efficient and friendly, there was loads of information on walking in the area, and it was still 12 degrees at five pm. All in all, it was exactly what we needed, and our spirits began to lift. The upshot is that we're going to stay here for about five days, get out in the fresh air, do some hiking, and generally try to stay out of the van for a while. The gods of...
