Nov 13, 2007 - On our way to Cape Town.

This morning we were packed and out the door by 8, looking forward to our final game viewing trip before leaving the Park. We had 34 Kilometers to drive through the Park to get to the entrance/exit gate at Phabeni. On this drive we saw an amazing amount of animals, and said our final goodbyes to the Elephant, Rhino, Hippo, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Kudu, Impala, Steenbuck, Duiker, Bushbuck, Warthog, Hyena and Lion. The only animal that totally eluded us on this 8-day trip was the Cheetah. We did get to a place where 4 cars had been sitting...

Living our RV Dream!

Feb 6, 2006 - Betty's Bay

sorry this has taken so long! Internet is few and far between at the beach in SA. And, there is definitely no wireless reception. We left Stellenbosch for a month at Betty's Bay. We were unsure about the house we rented because it was relatively inexpensive but when we arrived we woke Becky in the back seat with our WOWS. Right on the dunes with perfect views of the bird sanctuary and the beach. Becky has a separate apartment in the house so she can escape when she needs to, which is not too often. South Africa 2006

Aug 15, 2005 - South Africa - Hermanus

Next up was Hermanus a couple of hours drive up the coast to the Great White Shark cage diving capital of the world. After arriving in town we headed to the tourist information centre where we found cheapish chalet style accomodation for 2 nights and booked our shark diving adventure for the next day. We then spent the rest of the afternoon whale watching, a group of 6-8 Southern-Right whales were playing in the bay but after a couple of hours we still hadn't any good pictures as their breaching was too unpredictable to get the camera in...

May 6, 2005 - Not even five minutes

CAPETOWN: arrived in capetown feeling kind of displaced,, met this nice tour guy "round and 55" and a gem... offered to take us to hostel for 160 rand and we were in.. seemed trustworthy and a little too easy; but I was tired so I went with it... stopped off to get some money,., my card wouldn't work and BIG guy offered to help me, then I was surrounded by 8 black guys and everyone started to yell. Put your pin in the machine, he told me my card was in the machine and he was trying to help.. I knew I was in a situation at this point.... but...
